Synopsis
Licu, a charismatic 27-year-old Bengali Muslim, is eager to find a bride. He has lived in Rome for three years, adapting quite well to the culture of the West, learning Italian and working in the fashion industry. Finally, word arrives from his family in Bangladesh--they have found him a girl. Eighteen-year old Fancy is a beauty. Licu immediately begins preparations to fly home but complications threaten to ruin the arrangement. Licu's employer will grant him just four weeks holiday, and he has been told he will need eight weeks to navigate the complex negotiations between families to secure the union. To add to the obstacles, Bangladesh has been partially submerged by its biggest flood in 50 years. Can Licu make it happen? And after they are betrothed and return to Rome, will Licu and Fancy find true romance in the eternal city?
