Synopsis

Four cowboys who are escaping from the law in the 1870's, flee to the mountains of New Mexico. Sadistic Charlie and Joe hope to find Apache Indian women to rape and murder, but Frank, the youngest of the group, tells Will that he wants no part of murder. The four desperadoes come to an isolated cabin where they find Jeroboam, a frontiersman in Puritan dress, and his bewitching, half-Indian mistress, Liah. Charlie and Joe murder Jeroboam and rape Liah, taking her with them. That night, Liah responds to Charlie's advances with a passionate kiss that makes him slowly weaken and die. The next day, Joe is bitten by a rattlesnake, and he dies in a fall off a rocky cliff. Will refuses to stay at the camp with Frank and Liah because of a recurring nightmare in which he sees a man hanging from a tree. Will's body is later found just as it appeared in the dream. Finally, Liah bewitches Frank, smothering him with kisses until he dies. The revenge complete, Jeroboam emerges from the woods to be reunited with Liah.
