Synopsis
In a small village in Canada, 15-year-old Jen lives with her mother Sarah, a beautiful woman in her thirties. Jen is unlike the other teenagers of her age--she does not drink, follow fashion or wear make-up. Disturbed by the recent suicide of her father, Jen leads a solitary, emotionless existence. Every day she goes to school, speaks to no one, and then helps her mother with the chores. One day Ian, her father's half-brother, moves into their barn. He is supposed to help out around the house but instead he becomes a source of problems and and local gossip. As for Jen, she enjoys Ian's company but she becomes torn between her feelings for him as a father figure and an object of carnal desire. Realizing the unhealthy nature of their relationship, Sarah decides to show her brother-in-law the door.
