Synopsis
Despite their modest means, Herbert and Dorothy Vogel are the most important contemporary art collectors you have never hard of. He is a postal clerk. She is a librarian. Their shared passion and discipline defied stereotypes and redefined what it means to be a patron of the arts. Over four decades, the Vogels amassed their collection of over 4,000 works, including ones by Sol LeWitt, Christo, Richard Tuttle, Chuck Close and Lawrence Weiner.
