Synopsis
Burke is the quiet and organised but deeply disturbed and mentally ill housemate whose world is thrown off-kilter when the naïve and lazy but sociable and optimistic Wills moves into his share house. The industrious Burke works as a waiter at his café job, while Wills, who has just been kicked out of his girlfriend's house, is struggling to find employment. Nevertheless, the two twenty-somethings soon negotiate a comfortable level of friendship. However, when both men suffer serious relationship breaks, they are sent off in different directions. When Burke's grandmother - who he has been visiting several times a week - dies, he is sent into a downward spiral. The $140'000 inheritance is little consolation to Burke, despite Wills' enthusiasm, and Burke's latent depression begins to surface. Meanwhile, when Wills breaks up with his girlfriend for no good reason, he goes into self-examination and regret. However, it is evident that Wills misses the idea of a relationship more than the woman herself. In any case, this leads to new opportunities for Wills as he soon finds a new job and girlfriend on the same day.
