Synopsis
Aging Edoardo Recchi, Sr. is the patriarch of a Milanese family made wealthy by his success in the textile business. He has decided to name his successor to the company and during a family gathering he announces that he has split the power between his son Tancredi and his grandson Edo. This surprises the entire family and creates a conflict between the two of them. Edo has a dream of opening a restaurant and has come to the gathering with Antonio, his partner in the enterprise. To her shock, Tancredi's wife Emma finds herself falling in love with Antonio and in spite of her loyalty to her family, the two begin a passionate love affair.
