Synopsis
The rules of the game: Death: There are infinite parallel modes of existence. The transcendence of souls after death is not always fluid and complete; especially if it's not time for a person to leave this earth. The energy that person would have expended in their remaining allotted days must some how be dissipated. The strength of that remaining energy is proportional to the time cut short. Furthermore, that energy becomes manifest in what is encompassed by the common term, "Ghost," although many of the physical rules that govern our actions do not apply. Ghosts have a unique set of boundaries within which they must exist: for one, their range of travel can be severely restricted, however they have the uncommon benefit of multiplicity--while a particular ghost maybe unable to cross something as simple as a threshold. The ghost has the advantage of having a "splinter" of itself in the room beyond. In places where these energies are manifest, one school of thought would term them, "Special," whereas another would prefer the term "Evil." The rules of the game: Life: For Heather, Alex and their daughter Alexandra their home on Copley Lane is special. This is the place they've chosen to spend their lives. Lives can be misspent quickly when chronology fractures and the living attempt to decipher the dead. Time is the one construct that prevents every thing from happening at once. Time is also the one construct no living thing can manipulate. When such a mis-event occurs in such a place as Copley, the origin of the phrase, "All hell breaks loose" becomes clear. Or does it?
