Synopsis

Chronicles the 30 year relationship between British born author Christopher Isherwood (whose novel "The Berlin Stories" would later become the film and musical "Cabaret"), and his much younger partner, artist Don Bachardy. Through home movie footage and candid recollections, the couple's passion and commitment to each other comes alive. During the course of their relationship, Isherwood would nurture Don to become an accomplished painter. As would naturally seem to follow, Isherwood is forever immortalized in countless paintings and drawings lovingly crafted by Don over the years.
