Synopsis

After escaping from a maximum-security prison where he was being held for stealing $40 million, Morgan, an international privateer, is recaptured and offered a choice: either return to prison (though he swears he is innocent) or participate in the rescue of a scientist held captive by a Caribbean island dictator. Choosing the latter, Morgan is forced to marry Kim Stacy, a beautiful CIA agent. Posing as a drug dealer, Morgan gains entry to the fortress where the scientist and hundreds of other political prisoners are being held. There he familiarizes himself with the various security measures and formulates a rescue plan; then, after arranging to have a CIA plane meet Kim, the scientist, and himself on a designated airstrip, he returns to the fortress, releases all the prisoners, and escapes with the scientist. Morgan also manages to hold off with gunfire both the pursuing dictator and a carload of soldiers but is thwarted when he reaches the plane and finds Kim held at gunpoint by Sal Dekker, an old war buddy who actually stole the $40 million and framed Morgan. After baiting Dekker into confessing his guilt, Morgan kills him and frees Kim. Then, once the plane is airborne for the States with the scientist safely aboard, Morgan exchanges a loving glance with Kim and, with her assistance, bails out to search for the $40 million and clear his name.
