Synopsis

Raoul Marlin is accused of killing a trapper, Baptiste, and stealing his furs. Raoul is imprisoned by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, but he knows he will be rescued soon. Raoul's rescuer Snaky shoots two Mounties, but Raoul is recaptured by Mountie Jim Wilson and taken to Fort Regina to stand trial. While Raoul is being transported, the criminals' leader, Jean, has her men free him, and Raoul rejoins the gang. Wilson and fellow Mountie, Rogers, are put on the trail of the gang. At the general store owned by Duval, Jean's assistant, who is in love with her, Wilson sees an Indian killed for turning down Duval's offer to buy his furs for fifty cents. Wilson escapes a similar fate, and Jean warns him away, but Wilson tells her that he is in the same racket and wants to organize the area. Rogers spreads the rumor that Wilson is the notorious Benet and then leaves to get help. Wilson, posing as Benet, makes a deal with Jean, which leaves Duval out of the action. Duval reads that Benet was hanged, however, and shows the notice to Jean. As the gang organizes to bring Wilson down, the Mounties arrive, and the gang is arrested. Raoul and Jean escape and Wilson goes after them. As Wilson catches up to Raoul and Jean, she shoots Raoul in order to save Wilson, and he allows her to escape and find a place to settle down.
