Synopsis
Bo Rutherford, the alcoholic wife of a millionaire playboy and racing car driver, is threatened with divorce because of her many adulterous affairs. She entices Bill Garrison, a new driver on the circuit, to help plot Rutherford's death so she can inherit his fortune. The first attempts fail, and Rutherford and Garrison become friends temporarily at a drunken outing with two women; tempers flare the next morning, however, and the two men are bitter enemies by the next race. Their cars crash on the track, and Rutherford is killed; Bill loses both legs, and Bo is disfigured and blinded in an explosion when she tries to rescue him. Although the crippled lovers can now live a wealthy life together, Bill is determined to end it for both of them.
