Synopsis
The adventure of Spanish conquistador Alvar Cabeza De Vaca, who after being shipwrecked in 1528 off the coast of Florida, traveled for eight years across North America to the pacific coast of Mexico, enduring enslavement, starvation, intertribal warfare and the depredations of the Conquistadors along the way, but also engaging in mysticism and spiritual rebirth.
