Synopsis

Sam Ward, serving a life sentence for murder, escapes to kill Logan Keliher. Former Texas Rangers who fought together, they became enemies when Sam turned bank robber. Animosity between them was intensified when Logan married Sam's ex-wife, Susan, and accepted their son as his own. The two men accidentally meet in the town of Griffin when Sam's gang holds up the bank while Logan is arranging for a loan. Although the rest of his gang is killed, Sam escapes and visits Susan to warn her that he plans to have revenge on her new husband. Logan eventually captures Sam but is forced to untie him when they are attacked by Apaches. They survive the raid, but both men are badly wounded and Logan takes Sam to his shack, where he sees his son for the first time. Pink, a conniving posse member, arrives and tries to take the bank loot. Sam takes a bullet meant for Logan, and after Logan has killed Pink, Sam dies in his former buddy's arms, but not before the two men have been reunited in friendship.
