Kim Basinger was once attached to the project to co-star but dropped out prior to the start of production. After the film's completion, she was sued by producer Carl Mazzacone and Main Line Pictures for failing to comply with her non-written agreement to be in the film. Main Line won the case and was awarded more than $7 million in damages resulting from Basinger's last minute withdrawal.
