Synopsis
Explores the obstacles confronted by Iranian women. Three episodes reveal the plight of three young women: Setareh, Hengameh and Saiideh. Through choice or circumstance, they find themselves alone with nowhere to go, and each is forced to spend the night on the streets of Tehran. Setareh is an independently minded, passionate young girl who runs away from her parents, who oppose her marriage to the boy she loves. Hengameh is pregnant and alone. After a quarrel with her husband, who is unwilling to support a baby, she flees her home in search of someone to terminate her pregnancy. And finally, Saiideh has just given birth, but with a husband in prison and no money to pay her medical bills, she is forced to steal into the night with her newborn.
