Synopsis
Marianne mysteriously disappears from her home in a village called L'Oree du Bois. Her husband, a photographer, and her daughter Clara patiently wait for her to return. Unwilling to abandon hope, they go for walks and recall their shared memories of her. A few miles away, in a small town, Simon, a young man in his twenties, has trouble with his sight, feeling his eyes momentarily covered by a black cloud, plunging him into total darkness. His doctor cannot find any rational explanation for his strange affliction. One day, as he is driving, Simon briefly loses his sight and control of his car. Clara observes some smoke, and finds the young man, who is suffering from temporary amnesia. She takes him home to look after him and soon finds herself falling in love.
