Synopsis
In the medieval duchy of Allena, Lady Althea, a lovely young noblewoman, discovers that her fiancé, Duke Eduardo, is the innocent victim of an ancient curse which turns him into a beast at night. Ambitious for the throne, the evil Prince Bruno incites a mob to burn the duke at the stake. At the last moment, however, the duke is saved when Althea kisses his beast-face, thereby breaking the spell. The unscrupulous prince is banished, and Althea and the duke are married.
