Synopsis
When Paul Linden, a wealthy British widower, returns to London with a young French bride, his rebellious teenage daughter, Jennifer, openly shows her dislike for a stepmother only a few years older than herself. Though the Frenchwoman, Nichole, makes friendly overtures, Jennifer remains hostile and spends her time dancing with her friends Dave, Tony, and Dodo in a beatnik dive across the street from a Soho burlesque club. One day Jennifer accidentally discovers that Nichole was once a stripteaser, and she warns her stepmother that if she is not left alone she will reveal this information to her father. When Jennifer invades the burlesque club to learn more about Nichole's past, she is accosted by the club's owner, Kenny. Later she gives a wild teenage party and performs a striptease just as Paul and Nichole return home. Enraged, Jennifer blurts out the truth about Nichole's past and then runs off to join Kenny. His jealous mistress, Greta, finds them together and stabs him to death. Paul and Nichole arrive in time to comfort the shocked and disillusioned young girl and then lead her home.
