Synopsis
Spaceship Alfa II is spinning uncontrollably around the solar system directed only by an electronic brain due to the pilot's sudden death. Heat from the ship is threatening to bring death and destruction unless Alfa II is halted before it moves closer to earth. Reporter Ray Peterson, who is aboard a space station rocket, joins with the commander and Lucy, the route officer, in the expedition to save the earth. After hours of tension and a growing jealousy between the commander and Ray over Lucy, Ray goes into space alone and disconnects the electronic brain. He thus saves the earth and wins Lucy's affection and the commander's respect.
