Synopsis

Dorrie Willard and her uncle, a Wells Fargo lawyer, visit the ranch of the fun-loving Range Busters, a law enforcement team comprised of Crash Corrigan, Dusty King and Alibi Terhune. Willard hires the Range Busters to capture a gang of stagecoach robbers operating out of Stoney Creek, who have thus far evaded the law, and invites them to stay at his nephew Ernie's ranch. The Range Busters arrive just after Ernie has been forced to kill his partner out of self-defense because he has discovered his ranch partner is one of the stagecoach robbers. Ernie leaves with the stolen money intending to return it, but when he encounters the sheriff, he is arrested for robbery. Ernie escapes, however, and sneaks back to the ranch to tell Dorrie, who was on the stagecoach, and the Range Busters what has occurred. They send Ernie into hiding, but he is soon taken hostage by the gang of thieves, who threaten to kill him unless he acts as the leader of another stagecoach robbery. To catch the outlaws, the Range Busters bring $10,000 to the local Wells Fargo office, which is run by Tim Douglas and Strike, with instructions that it be sent by stage to another town. They plan to rob the stagecoach themselves, unaware that Douglas, the head of the thieves, has ordered Strike to have their men rob the stagecoach. The masked Range Busters get to the stagecoach before the Douglas gang, but Jake, the stagecoach driver, who works for Douglas, reveals that Douglas had arranged for a different area for the robbery to take place. The Range Busters now realize that Douglas, who has kidnapped Dorrie, is the head of the bandits. Dorrie believes that Douglas is trying to help her and Ernie and reveals the identity of the Range Busters. After Jake confesses and is arrested by the Range Busters, they all go to Douglas' hideout. Douglas has arranged to release Ernie on the pretext that he can escape to Mexico, while two of Douglas' men plan to kill him en route. However, Ernie is unable to leave due to the unexpected arrival of the Range Busters and Strike instead escapes on the buckboard. He is shot by Douglas' men, who are then arrested by the sheriff. The Range Busters overwhelm the Douglas gang, and while Crash captures Douglas, Dusty rescues Ernie and Dorrie. The outlaws are arrested and with peace restored to Stoney Creek, the Range Busters return home.
