Synopsis

Tex Whitedeer, the agent appointed by the government to choose the spot where the East and West branches of the railroad will meet, is believed to be an Indian, but actually is a white man reared on the reservation from boyhood by the Indian Grey Cloud, a close friend of his father. Tex's heritage becomes an issue because Graham and his men have been raiding Joe Lane's freight lines and planting suspicion on the Indians. Upon investigating the circumstances, Tex is certain that white men are behind the raids, but Lieutenant James, an officer at the army post, accuses Tex of leading the Indians on the raids. To trap the villains, Tex lets James overhear a conversation that he has with Honey, Lane's daughter, in which he informs her that the railroad junction will be placed on her father's land. James and his cohorts then buy Lane's land, only to find that Tex has picked another section on which to build the junction. In revenge, Graham's men kidnap Honey and capture Tex when he rides to her rescue, but the pair escape in time to thwart Graham's attempt to rob the freight line again. The final confrontation occurs as Tex, aided by the soldiers and the Indians led by his old friend Grey Cloud, round up Graham's gang and prove that James had been working in conjunction with the outlaws.
