Synopsis
Gabriele and Giovenella, two teenagers who are in love, find their overly-concerned parents anxious to drive them apart, even though their romance is innocent. Gabriele's father hints that a man need not marry to satisfy his sexual urges. To prove his point, he takes his son to a red light district in Rome, and when this fails, he considers turning over his own mistress to the boy. The father's plan only manages to inflame Gabriele's passion for Giovenella. Gabriele schemes to bring Giovenella to a bachelor apartment, but she ignores his subtle suggestions, thereby doubling his frustration. When they quarrel, Giovenella turns to her older sister who advises her to trust in Gabriele and give herself freely to him. Knowing that the honest love that she and Gabriele have for each other has been threatened by adult interference, Giovenella meets Gabriele at the apartment, and the couple consummate their love. Later that night as they are driving home, they stop to kiss, and a policeman arrests them; but they are released with a warning to be more discreet in the future. The young couple agree to wait until they are married before making love again.
