Synopsis

One year in the lives of Molly, a 21 year old New Yorker who spends her summer in Mexico City to study Spanish, and Diego, a 14 year old with a crush on his cousin. Diego discovers his grandfather has cancer and must get an operation, so to help with the expenses, Diego's mother rents out a room in their house. When Molly returns to Mexico in the winter, she rents the room and meets Diego. Diego's feelings for his cousin are thwarted with his new obsession for Molly. When she returns to New York, Diego follows and they spend a day in Coney Island before saying goodbye for the last time.
