Synopsis

Inspired by a true story of a man whose feelings of anger, blame and sadness are changed when he decides to forgive the unforgivable. Bruce Murakami is a hard-working man who sometimes puts his job before his family life. On a night when a work call preoccupies him at home, his wife and daughter are killed in a car accident caused by a young driver named Justin. When Bruce finds out that Justin was illegally racing on the highway when the accident happened, Bruce decides to pursue him and have him prosecuted for murder. With the help of a powerful attorney, Erin Teller, Bruce files suit against the young man, which is overwhelming for both Justin and his family. But as the case progresses, Bruce begins to have a new understanding of his own emotions and, in turn, what will be best for everyone in the end.
