Synopsis
The film traces the origins of the gang and why it started. From it's initiation after El Salvador's brutal civil war of the 1980's where individuals were trained to kill by the guerrilla army, to the migration of over one million Salvadorians to Los Angeles after the war, and then their spread across Central America, Mexico, Ecuador, and Spain. Today the gang is comprised of over 100,000 members, becoming the largest perceived threat to national security inside the United States.
