Synopsis
1960s. Kira Georgievna, 45, is a well-known sculptor working on a statue of Lenin. She is married to a prominent painter much older then herself. Everything is fine in her life until she suddenly is reunited with Vadim. Back in 1936 (25 years earlier) Kira and Vadim were engaged. But after only a year of their life together, Vadim was arrested by the Soviet police and sent to a faraway prison in Siberia. They haven't seen each other for 25 years. And when Vadim returns, their love is rekindled. Kira's life is in turmoil. She is so much in love with Vadim that she is ready to leave her husband. But Vadim is also married and has a 5-year-old son.
