Synopsis
Slovenia's integration into the European Union, supposedly a cause for celebration, results in the abrupt closure of a Ljubljana factory. This makes balding, middle-aged Pero redundant, and cripples his self-esteem. To add insult to injury, his wife, Vera, is cheating on him with a work colleague, and one day she moves out, taking their young daughter with her. Alone, humiliated, and seemingly bereft of options, Peter decides to do the only reasonable thing, and hang himself. But just as he puts the noose around his neck, the doorbell rings.
