Synopsis
Tom was a struggling boxer in Liverpool until an eye injury forced him into early retirement. As if that isn't bad enough, his marriage is on the rocks and he's broke. But a chance encounter one day at the gym leads to a job on the door of a run-down local nightclub. There he befriends fellow doorman Paul, a volatile hardman of the old school, who sees in Tom something of his own youth, and takes him under his wing for better or worse.
