Synopsis
A coming of age story that follows a Native American college student named Turquoise Rose as she begrudgingly forgoes a trip to Europe with her friends to return to the Navajo Reservation and take care of her ailing grandmother. Through this experience however, Turquoise comes to appreciate her Navajo heritage and ancestry. She not only strengthens her relationship with her grandmother, but she also falls in love, which forces her to make the decision between going back to the city at the end of the summer or staying in the Reservation.
