Synopsis
In 1974, a certain female adolescent is determined to follow in the footsteps of her idol, Joni Mitchell. But at thiry-something she works as a waitress and her singing career has never even started. With a mother in the hospital, an absent father and a violent partner, she feels trapped. When a serial killer escapes from the local jail and embarks on a spree of murders, her courage is put to the test and she is given a chance to regain control over her life.
