Synopsis
Follows one young couple across seven months, October to April. Kitagawa succumbs to panic attacks and has to give up work. He secretly joins one of Japan's many religious cults and begins paying large sums to what he calls 'the seminar' to buy himself a new sense of belonging. Coincidentally his live-in girlfriend Shizu loses her job and has trouble finding another. She catches him stealing from her and demands to know what's going on in his head. Shizu suddenly realises that she doesn't know her boyfriend at all and loses all her illusions.
