Synopsis
When an earthquake hits a village, a young teacher scrambles from the rubble to find her colleagues are dead. Surrounded by devastation, she sets out for the nearby town of Bam in search of help, but finds that the earthquake has hit that town as well. Meanwhile, a convict who has managed to escape his jail cell heads for his home, only to find it has collapsed on top of his wife and his beloved daughter, Arezoo. He meets up with the teacher and discovering that the hospitals are overflowing with the injured and the dead, the pair dedicate their energy to finding and helping the living among the debris.
