Synopsis
Mr. Seman is a single, middle-aged man in his slippers, boxers and undershirt, cigarette in hand and stubble on his face, who hovers at his open window or loiters on his stoop all day. He does not hesitate to chat up anyone who passes by on the street outside his small Prague apartment. He is especially fond of a local woman and her daughter, who visit regularly and bring him gifts and good conversation. He also has a penchant for finding surprising treasures in the garbage: he recycles a neighbor's discarded childhood photos into an art project, and distributes a trove of yellow rubber ducks to appreciative strangers. However, his kindly, placid demeanour conceals the shark in his head and the "disease of the chicken butts" he suffers -- hallucinations which have led the local officials to try to have him institutionalized.
