Synopsis
Six interconnecting stories about ordinary people whose lives are affected by their journeys on the train. The characters originate from the myriad of cultures that coexist in the southwestern region. Samuel is a racist French taxi-driver who reveals layers of his personality when he responds with apathy upon discovering that his wife, Lucía, is unfaithful. Lucía's reunion with Tino, her hometown friend from Portugal, unleashes an emotional flood that has been dammed for over twenty-eight years. Meanwhile, Angolan Mili is leaving Lisbon for Paris to find a better life. On the way he meets Rashid, who is travelling from Spain to France to surprise the girl he loves; Mili and Rashid will find Europe less than eager to embrace two more African migrants. And in Salamanca, wheelchair-ridden Rober and his best friend, Isa, are on a frustrating mission to make the train's route wheelchair friendly.
