Synopsis

Tells the story of Surrealist writer, photographer, Nazi Resister, and Jewish lesbian, Claude Cahun, born Lucie Schwob (1894-1954) as well as that of her her half-sister, Marcel Moore, born Suzanne Malherbe (1892-1972). The two artists lived together as lovers on Jesey Island during the German Occupation where they created surrealist photographic self-portraits and resisted German occupation by trying to convince soldiers to rebel against Hitler and Nazism. Eventually the two were arrested and given a death sentence for their acts of resistance.
