Synopsis
Jesus Feliciano, a Mexican National, joins the U.S. Marines in order to obtain United States Citizenship. He believes that becoming an American will create better opportunities for himself and his family. However after returning to California from the war, Jesus suffers post-war trauma and finds himself wondering if taking innocent lives was too high a price to pay to win his very own American Dream. He suffers flashbacks and nightmares--and doesn't trust anyone anymore, including his wife Claudia whom he deeply loves. As Jesus tries in the midst of his pain to begin a new life in America, he is inevitably called back to war and is faced with the decision of losing his freedom or his soul.
