Synopsis

Amnuy, a Thai woman, has to make a choice between keeping her youngest daughter or giving her away to save the child's life. Amnuy, her husband and their baby daughter are HIV-positive, and her other two children are negative. They live isolated from everyone else in a small village in the Northeast of Thailand. Nobody frequents their once-flourishing shop anymore. When they run out of money, they move to an "AIDS resort" that provides housing and care for people with HIV. But Amnuy is not accepted by the other women. She wants to leave, but her daughter needs to stay so she can continue to get medication. Amnuy's son also lives at the Aids hospice with other HIV negative orphans, isolated from his sister. Amnuy does her best to stay in her daughter's life, but the circumstances of their lives relentlessly pull them apart.
