Synopsis

Sister Jeannine Gramick has devoted her life to the work she has felt called to by God: her groundbreaking and compassionate ministry to gay and lesbian Catholics. With the encouragement and support of her own religious order, the School Sisters of Notre Dame, Sister Jeannine's main goal for more than three decades has been to forge a place within the faith for a group historically relegated to the fringes. Her ministry to abolish discrimination against gay people, to promote reconciliation and dialogue between them and church hierarchy, and to amend Catholicism's hostility and neglect toward gay and lesbian Catholics has improved thousands of lives, healing people and families fractured by fear, misunderstanding and hate.
