Synopsis
The buccolic life of a rural, isolated town is disrupted by the arrival of a mysterious hunter, who takes a local youth under his wing. Twelve-year-old, taciturn Erken lives with his mother in a remote mountain village. A lonely hunter comes to the village to pick up supplies, but the boy is suspicious and inhospitable. One night when the hunter comes to visit his mother, Erken steals the man's horse and breaks into a shop. The police search for Erken to send him to reform school, but he escapes. The hunter finds him, and at his mother's request, the man will take the boy in and begin to teach him the secrets of nature and life itself.
