Synopsis
Two Czech film students try to explore their country's breakneck rush towards consumerism by setting up and documenting the country's biggest public hoax. After a makeover transforming them into sharp young executives, the filmmakers plot the fake opening of "Czech Dream," a big-box megamall, complete with a clever ad campaign that promises $19 TVs and 10-cent mineral water, even as it uses the latest in ironic posturing to tell shoppers "Don't Go" and "Don't Spend." Word of this "Supermarket for a Better Life" saturates radio and TV, as Prague is blanketed with flyers and billboards. But will anyone actually fall for it and show up at the opening? And if they do, what then?
