Synopsis
Although he is already under investigation by a Senate sub-committee for his racketeering connections with the jukebox industry, mobster Mario continues his activities and, while passing through a small New Jersey town, discovers another location for a jukebox installation. Mario then orders one of his men, Morty Belowski, to coerce the owners of the mom-and-pop pizzeria to "rent" one of his syndicate's owned-and-operated machines, even though they already have a jukebox. When Pop resists the mobsters' intimidation, a group of teenagers who use the pizzeria as their hangout, including Bob, Judy, Ginger, Betty and Seymour, support Pop's rebellion. Morty attempts to influence Lulubelle, Judy's visiting cousin and an aspiring singer, to persuade Pop to use the mob's jukebox, but fails. Despite the relative unimportance of the pizzeria to his syndicate, Mario is unaccustomed to having his plans thwarted by a small-town merchant and so sends in thugs to enforce his wishes. However, the teenagers rally to help Mom and Pop and the mobsters are driven out of town.

Although contemporary reviews indicated that George Barris and Jim Geallis were both the producers and directors of Juke Box Racket, a modern source credits Barry Mahon with direction. Another source adds Brendan Fay to the cast. According to a December 1962 Box Office review, Juke Box Racket was re-released in late 1962.
