Synopsis
While still a child, Lollipop falls in love with her orphaned cousin Silvio, who has been raised as a member of the family by her father, Dr. Arnaldo, a highly respected government official. Years pass, and to Lollipop's dismay, Silvio becomes engaged to her cousin Leticia. During the engagement party, the enraged Lollipop seduces Silvio, and sometime later, she reveals to Leticia that she is pregnant as a result of the encounter. Leticia breaks with Silvio and urges him to marry Lollipop, but although he is unable to resist Lollipop's sensuality, he truly loves his fiancée. Dr. Arnaldo angrily forbids his daughter's marriage to Silvio and arranges to have her pregnancy aborted. Lollipop attempts to run off with Silvio, and Dr. Arnaldo is forced to disclose that Silvio is his own illegitimate son. The enormity of the incestuous sin causes Silvio to take his own life, and the guilt-ridden doctor soon follows suit, leaving Lollipop to contemplate the results of her unbridled passion. [The story is related in flashback.]
