Notes

According to the Hollywood Reporter and Variety reviews, this picture, filmed entirely in Tahiti, was shot on 16mm film stock that was later blown up to 35mm. The cast, consisting of non-professional actors, was hired in Tahiti. The Los Angeles Examiner review states that the story was told by the narrator and not through dialogue. The Variety review noted that the footage incorporated native dances and music. Lotus Long, who produced and wrote the film with her husband, photographer-director James Knott, acted in many films during the 1930s and 1940s.
