Synopsis
Motorcycle cop Larry Evans pursues Connie Banning, who is the daughter of the head of the local oil refinery. Connie arrives at her swank home before Larry, and prior to dashing into bed, she takes a quick dip in the pool. Larry finds her in bed, and knowing from previous experiences with her the kind of trouble she can be, he takes the precaution of wrapping her in blankets when he arrests her. Thus wrapped, Larry ensures she will not escape and takes her to the police station. When Connie's father, Mr. Banning, arrives there, he suggests to the police chief that Larry be put on desk duty, knowing full well that such an assignment would cause Larry to resign. The following day, after Larry has quit the force, he sees a group of men at a filling station shoot the driver of a truck carrying gasoline and try to steal his vehicle. Larry is able to stop the theft, but the men get away. He then takes the injured driver to the refinery's hospital, where Connie's father asks him to investigate the attempted robbery. It seems that several of the refinery's gasoline trucks have been held up. Larry gets his friend, Joe Burke, who is a member of the police squad, to help him and on motorcycles, they follow one of the refinery trucks. As the truck passes a vacant house, shots are fired at it. Larry goes into the house and he fights off a gang of men, sending one through a second-story window. He then takes the injured man back to the hospital in hopes that the man will give him evidence against the gang. However, the other gang members arrive disguised as an ambulance team and take the man and a doctor hostage. The gangsters go to their hideout and later blindfold the doctor and return him to town. Despite the gangsters' precautions, the doctor is able to tell Larry where their hideout is, and Larry speeds over there. A fight ensues, after which the entire gang is captured and Connie realizes that she loves Larry.
