Synopsis

Gunnar, a journalist, falls in love with a young nurse who is suffering from Hodgkin's disease, an affliction which her doctors tell her is incurable. "Princess," as Gunnar affectionately calls her, at first refuses to believe that he loves her, but when she is convinced of his sincerity, they marry. "Princess" soon becomes pregnant, and after the child is born, she resumes radiation treatments. Eventually, as a result of her physician's care and Gunnar's love, she is cured.
