Synopsis
Rich and beautiful Andrea visits her ailing father in his country home, where she becomes bored and restless. Searching for sexual fulfillment, she seduces her maid's fiancé and her best friend's husband. After breaking off her engagement to Thomas, she goes to the city and is picked up in a bar by Felix, a brutal pimp who beats and rapes her. She manages to escape and flees to the country. After her father dies, Andrea is lonelier than ever until she meets Frederick, an escaped convict seeking revenge against his mistress who betrayed him. She gives him food and clothes and seduces him, but the next morning he leaves. Realizing that she is in love for the first time, Andrea calls her lawyer to arrange a pardon for Frederick, but he is shot and killed after murdering his two associates. Heartbroken, Andrea suffers a nervous breakdown. After recovering, she marries Thomas and finally finds contentment.
