Synopsis

When Robert Weylan threatens the livelihood of the ranchers in the valley by building a dam and thus cutting off the water supply, cattleman Tim Martin protests. As Weylan siphons off the water for his mining operation, the cattle begin to die of thirst, and Martin and the other ranchers decide to drive the cattle through Weylan's land to the water. The Martins' traitorous foreman, Wiley, informs Weylan of the plan, and as a result, the ranchers are ambushed and Martin is shot. Martin's daughter Shirley then hires Bob Lawson as her new foreman and brings a lawsuit against Weylan, but again is checkmated when Weylan undertakes a campaign of terror to prevent the ranchers from testifying. Defeated in court, Bob and Shirley organize the ranchers and dynamite a hill that is serving as a retaining wall for the dam. With Weylan overcome, the valley grows green once more and the ranchers are saved.

Notes

According to the Variety and The Exhibitor reviews, Coronado Films was a Grand National Production unit established by George Hirliman to produce "women's westerns" on a five-day shooting schedule. This was the first of their three "Singing Cowgirl" films, all of which starred Dorothy Page.
