Leading Lizzie Astray - Leading Lizzy Astray

Fatty starts to regret fixing the broken tire of a city slicker when the sharpie steals his girl Minta--and then Minta starts to regret running off with the guy, too. Just when she starts to think the High Life isn't all it's cracked up to be, here comes Fatty to the rescue. If, by rescue, you mean bat-wielding whallomping, that is.

Arbuckle directed this fast-paced short, which features his wife Minta Durfee as the title character Lizzie. Also starring are Charley Chase and Mack Swain as a pair of rowdies whose irrational exuberance disrupts Minta's big city date. Other supporting players include Al St. John, Edgar Kennedy, Billy Gilbert, Phyllis Allen, Harry McCoy and Fritz Schade.
