Synopsis

When all the settlers on a wagon train perish in a massacre except Harry Hart, Fred Fowler and his daughter Teresa, Fowler, feeling a bond with his fellow survivor, reveals the treasure map he has concealed in a yellow bullet, which pinpoints the location of a secret gold mine. Betraying Fowler's trust, Hart steals away to seek the gold, taking all the water and food and leaving the Fowlers behind to die in the desert. Luckily they are rescued by Lloyd, a young army surgeon who takes them to his ranch. After he recovers from his ordeal, Fowler sets out to claim the mine, but is overtaken by Hart who tortures the old man to extort the secret location from him. As Hart's back is turned, Fowler manages to extract the yellow bullet, load his gun and kill his persecutor. He is then rescued by Teresa and Lloyd, who have fallen in love, and all ends happily.
