Synopsis

"Piute," a rancher's daughter whose tomboyish nature is indicated by her nickname, is sent to the city to be educated. There, she meets criminal Le Claire, who learns that her wealthy father dislikes banks and keeps his money hidden on the ranch. Le Claire concocts a scheme to rob the ranch by pretending to be a film producer and staging a scene in which the ranch's horses are "rustled." The robbery takes place during the fracas, and Le Claire pretends to chase the robbers in his car. Bill Irwin, the ranch's "top hand," discovers the truth, and after several adventures, succeeds in capturing the crooks and recovering the money. Bill also wins the heart of "Piute."
